Praise on my Coaching

Through working with Alaina and having numerous realizations on how to live my happiest, healthiest life, I have started to see myself living the life I always wanted to. Now, I enjoy eating healthy and working out. I want to be active. I really enjoy eating fruits and veggies. I feel full, satisfied, and have so much energy. This is a point I couldn’t even see for myself before working with Alaina. I’m not a slave to food and cravings any more. I am in control, and I don’t need to starve myself to prove it. I choose what I eat, and recognize how it makes me feel. I am happier, healthier, and stronger than I have ever been and I can’t imagine turning back.

After a 2 week cleanse I continued to work with Alaina in a 90 day program. We met weekly to discuss action items and incrementally work toward my health and fitness goals. Alaina is a nutrition expert! She came prepared and knowledgeable to answer all of my questions. She consistently held me accountable, and reminded me of my progress. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is actually recognize your accomplishments! I never felt that Alaina was swaying me or persuading me to believe/ follow one path or another. The program was tailored to me :) When working with Alaina, and other health coaches definitely feel free to voice the best way for YOU to get what you would like from the program. 90 days later, I'm healthier, empowered, and am able to not only use what I've learned but share it with others!

In the spring of last year I realized that I needed to make some changes. I wasn't feeling great about myself, I felt sluggish and unhealthy. My job had gotten the best of me and my body was suffering. I knew that I needed a change. In came Alaina Peck. I asked Alaina to be my health coach to try and get myself back on track. I was nervous at first and ashamed to share my poor eating habits and lack of exercise. However, there was not a hint of judgment or disapproval from Alaina. With each piece of information I gave her she took the "let's make this work" attitude and showed me ways to slowly change my lifestyle. Every two weeks Alaina helped incorporate another change to my diet or exercise regimen. It was a gradual change and she listened to me, giving me suggestions that fit my needs. I am a teacher and usually run out the door in the morning and come home late. All of her recipes choices and diet changes helped fit my on the go lifestyle. I was always excited to tell Alaina of my weekly success because she motivated me to do better. In a moment of weakness I could text Alaina and she would, without judgement, get me back on track. Alaina really knows her stuff! She was so sure of her ways that it was hard not to follow. Her diet suggestions allowed me to feel great about myself. She even did a 30 day workout challenge WITH ME! I knew I wasn't alone with her. I felt great and still use all of the tips she gave me. Not only does Alaina help your body physically recharge, but there is a mental component also. She gave me the hope that it was possible for me to be healthy. I had goals that both contributed to my physical and mental help. Needless to say after my coaching cycle with Alaina I had a new outlook on life. I still send her emails and texts and get tips from her. This past holiday season she sent me a "survival kit" of ideas for how to stay on track. It lets me know she is still here for me. I can't thank her enough for her help and I would do it again 50 more times!

After working with Alaina I have been able to completely change my relationship with food and gain a new outlook on life. The most important thing that I have learned is that food can be a source of happiness. Food can be an emotional thing for a lot of people. And for me, I was using it as a coping mechanism; both in ways of over-eating during stressful periods at work, or as a control tactic, depriving my body of the fuel it needed when my relationships weren’t working out how I wanted them to. I worked with Alaina at these times to help understand my relationship to food and the effect it was having on the rest of my life, not just my body. When I was able to understand that food is a life source and what we put in effects everything coming out, it was easy for me to want to try new things and make changes.

I have found Alaina's coaching style to be non-judgmental, personable, genuine, educational and incredibly helpful in so many ways!
